April Wrap-Up | Choose Clark County Blog
This past week has been full of community energy, spring cleanup efforts, and progress on several exciting local initiatives. Here’s a quick look at what’s been happening:

AI rendering of some additions to Commercial Street.
Main Street Beautification in Motion
Our work to bring new life to Main Street is taking shape. We’ve officially taken over some of the flower pots along Commercial Street and are revitalizing the three large white pots between the bars. We’re also working to bring benches and seating to the area, along with public art displays that celebrate our local identity and creativity. It’s all part of the long-term vision to make our downtown feel more vibrant and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.
Welcome Packet & Resident Engagement
Together with the Clark Chamber and City, we’re continuing to develop a welcome packet for new residents. This guide will include event calendars, business directories, and community highlights—plus a personal invitation to connect with us and explore all that Clark County has to offer.
Grants, Funding & Opportunity Sharing
We’ve been actively sharing several great opportunities through Choose Clark County, including:
Mikeroweworks.org Work Ethic Scholarships
USDA Innovation Matters Funding Opportunities
POET Community Impact Grants
Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program
We know that access to funding can unlock possibilities, and we’re committed to getting these resources into the hands of those who can use them.
Building Momentum & Applying for the Future
We submitted our application for the Bush Prize South Dakota—a major opportunity that could help amplify our work in meaningful ways. We’ve also been working with local partners to apply for a variety of smaller grants, many of which will announce decisions in early June. We’re hopeful that these applications will bring positive news and new resources to Clark County.
Clark County is blooming with potential this spring—thanks to the people who keep showing up and caring. Whether you’re planting flowers, building relationships, or planning what’s next, your energy matters.
